Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed has joined the growing list of governors who are adopting austerity measures to cut cost in their states.
Ahmed has announced that his administration would be streamlining ministries and appointments to save cost in line with ‘current realities’ in the country.
The governor made the disclosure on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, via Twitter.
He said:
“In line with current realities, we're streamlining ministries and appointments to save cost, thus freeing up money for essentials.”
“Streamlining ministries and appointments is just one of the ways we are diversifying our economy. Making tax collection effective is key.”
